Semi-Private Wheel Experience

£75.00

Quiet, guided making — just two people

£75 per person · 90 minutes
Maximum 2 people per session

A calm, semi-private pottery wheel experience designed for people who want a slower, more personal first contact with clay.

This is not a busy group class.
It’s quiet, focused, and guided — with the tutor close throughout.

Come on your own or bring someone with you.
No experience needed.

What you’ll do

You’ll get a proper first go on the wheel and make your first shapes.

  • learn the basics: posture, hand placement, centring and shaping

  • make 1–2 small pieces (a bowl, cup, or similar)

  • choose your favourite piece to keep

We’ll glaze and fire it for you.
Your finished piece will be ready to collect in a few weeks.

Why it feels different

  • only 2 people per session

  • lots of hands-on guidance (without hovering)

  • calm, cosy, fully equipped studio

  • all clay, glazing and firing included

Who this is for

  • complete beginners

  • anyone looking for a calm, meaningful activity

  • couples or friends who want something creative but unhurried

  • people curious about the wheel, without committing to a full course

What often comes next

Many people use this session as a first step before joining a 6-week wheel course, where you practise regularly and go deeper at a steady pace.

There’s no obligation — this session works perfectly on its own.
If you do want to continue, we’ll guide you to the next step after your visit.
