Autumn Pottery: 6-Week Course
6 Thursdays | 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM | Max 4 Students
Dates: 24 September & 1, 8, 15, 22, 29 October
This course is for complete beginners and anyone wanting to refresh their wheel-throwing skills. You will learn the core techniques and make a set of functional, dishwasher- and microwave-safe tableware.
With only 4 people in the studio, you get constant feedback and never have to wait for the tutor's help.
What we will do over 6 weeks
Week 1–2: Centring clay and throwing basic shapes like cups and bowls.
Week 3: Throwing larger pieces with even walls.
Week 4: Trimming, neatening foot rings, and attaching handles.
Week 5: Finishing touches, textures, and prep for the first firing.
Week 6: Glazing your pieces. We finish the last evening with tea, coffee, and prosecco.
What is included
6 sessions (2 hours each).
All clay, tools, glazes, and 2 kiln firings.
5–6 finished pieces to take home.
Booking and policies
Payment: Pay in full or choose an installment plan at checkout.
Minimum group: We need at least 2 students to run the course. If we don't reach this 7 days before the start date, you will get a full refund or can move to the next cohort.
Missed classes: If you miss an evening, the tutor will help you catch up at your next session. If a wheel happens to be free in another group, you can join them to make up the time.
