Autumn Pottery: 4-Week Course
4 Thursdays | 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM | Max 4 Students
Dates: 20, 27 October & 3, 10 November
This course is for complete beginners and anyone wanting to try wheel-throwing without committing to a long program. You will learn the core skills to turn raw clay into finished, dishwasher- and microwave-safe tableware.
With only 4 people in the studio, you get hands-on support at every step.
What we will do over 4 weeks
Week 1: Learning to centre clay and throw fundamental shapes (bowls or small dishes).
Week 2: Refining your technique to throw taller cylinders, cups, or simple vases.
Week 3: Precision trimming, shaping foot rings, and prepping pieces for their first firing.
Week 4: Glazing your ceramics. We finish our last evening together with tea, coffee, and prosecco.
What is included
4 sessions (2 hours each).
All clay, tools, glazes, and 2 kiln firings.
3–4 finished pieces to take home.
Booking and policies
Payment: Pay in full or choose an installment plan at checkout.
Minimum group: We need at least 2 students to run the course. If we don't reach this 7 days before the start date, you will get a full refund or can move to the next cohort.
Missed classes: If you miss an evening, the tutor will help you catch up at your next session. If a wheel happens to be free in another group, you can join them to make up the time.
