Provenance & Craft

Made in the Heart of Somerset

Each piece begins as raw Somerset stoneware, hand‑thrown in our Shepton Mallet studio, a few miles from the green folds of the Mendip Hills. Local clay, local hands, timeless purpose.

High‑Fire Strength

We fire every vessel to 1 260 °C: the point where the clay vitrifies, fusing strength with a satin touch. The result is tableware built for decades of service—oven‑to‑table, microwave‑friendly, and perfectly safe for the dishwasher.

Signature Glazes

“Kilver Moss” — a cool, layered green inspired by the mossy terraces of nearby Kilver Court gardens.

“Cider Ochre” — a warm, honey‑amber tone that echoes Somerset’s autumn apple presses.

“Cheddar Chalk“ — a soft white-grey, like the stone at the entrance to Cheddar Gorge, with rare warm flecks, as if veins of time."

Or commission a glaze that matches your own palette.
